It ain't what you takin', it's who you takin' from, ya feel me? How you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?
OK we still have some way to go in the SL and would all love to see a treble, but no matter what happens from here in in we know we won't see Sinny and JP in another Leeds team so...
Could 2015 be the best side we've ever had? Regardless of trophies (not) won many would make 2005 the best side of the golden era...are this years vintage better?
One key bit of advice i'd give is ......savor this time.
Hasn't always been this special and surely won't always continue. When I've read the stories of HKR fans just happy to see their team at Wembley, we Leeds fans should remember how lucky we've been for the last 10 years.
From my perspective of supporting the team since 1978.....I'd say yes. Definitely....
As JP himself said after the game he has been 'blessed' to play in such a great team: similarly we have been 'blessed' to be part of this perhaps never to be repeated era in my lifetime at least. As Printer states we can't expect this to continue forever.....(surely not?). The continued praiseworthy recruitement however continues to gives us every chance.
Replacing Sinfield and Peacock is going to be nigh on impossible though. As McDermott said, they are hardly being carried into their twilight performances. They are both playing at least as well as they have ever done. Incredible.
"He's the best coach I've had... His mix of man-management and his game plan is second to none. Since Brian Mac has been in charge, we've been in every final so far. I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12
The ethos of the club is definitely the best in my lifetime. And I think this might be more significant than the personnel.
It seems we can acquire new players from all over the place and they settle into our way of doing things very quickly. The management deserve most of the credit for this careful, patient transformation of the club.
It is a concern whether that ethos can survive the departure of Peacock and Sinfield who, let's face it, are the living epitome of the integrity I'm on about. For the record, I think it can and I believe this club will become, in time, just as big and successful global brand as anything Russell Crowe can muster.

It's the best club. Too many people think this is all about the 17 guys in the shirts but what Leeds have built under Hetherington and caddicks vision/support is so much more.
Massive congratulations to everyone involved with the club.
