His career seems to be ending like it began, injury, after injury. I hope we get to see him a Leeds jersey, again. A guy like him deserves to go out on his own terms. He's as much a part of the Leeds ethos as Sinfield, if you could transfer his attitude into every player, every game would be a classic.
One of the top tacklers tonight before his injury confirmed why he still can play a role.....
.....but if this injury rules him out of the start of next season then even I as one of his best supporters thinks it might be the end for him as a player.....still has a future at the club though post playing career.
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.
Looks like Made in Leeds for him from now on. Shame to end a superb career in such an ignominious way. The golden generation is leaving on mass
How is it ignominious. Getting injured helping his team to a final, and still being tough/daft/proud enough to get up and play the ball. Not a bad way to go out, if that's what happens.
That's it? I thought it was a broken leg or smashed hip by the length of the delay in getting him off the field. In the grand scheme of serious injuries, that doesn't seem all that bad, fortunately?
From the comments on the BBC commentary, it seems he's planning in retiring. Has he announced that publicly yet?
As others have said really sad way to finish if that is the end of his Leeds career? We are privileged to watch this 'golden generation' which is inexorably coming to an end. I thank JJB and his ilk for some of the best sporting memories ever....including tonight
Jonesy has been a great servant to the club and is up there with some of the legends for the club maybe not for his ability but his heart and passion definitely he has always given 100%, but I think it's time he hung up the boots he body can't take the bangs and knocks anymore and there is plenty of options for us in the back row department and also he will take quite abit of salary cap up but I hope he has a speedy recovery and it is up to him what he does with his career.
