The team that is top at the end of the season should be champions and receive the super league winners trophy. We should then play the top four in a play off for the premiership trophy as we use to, now that would fill old Trafford and stop doing everything the Australian way.

It never used to fill Old Trafford, quite the opposite. It was a total anti-climax. I don't agree with first past the post. It's possible to lose all your games against your nearest rivals, but hammering the whipping boys you could be classed as champions.

If Leeds started the season like a house on fire, were 8 points clear by May but suffered season ending injuries to McGuire, Aiton and Cuthbertson, I'd be feeling pretty short changed if we didn't top the league and be crowned champions. To become the Champions you have to overcome adversity, be strong, skill full, have bucketloads of character. That's how it should be, if you don't win the GF, beating the best of the best, you don't deserve the title

There is no way we'd fill Old Trafford for a secondary competition final when we can't fill it for the current primary competition final.

We've had a playoff final determining the winners of the league for 70 out of RL's current 120 year history.
We were using a playoff final to determine the winner of the league before Australia were even playing RL.

A playoff final determining the champions is the British way.
