Personally I think the best option would be that the clubs should run a reserves side that is entered into the league structure.

Good for SL teams but not for Championship teams, who only get the short term benefits but would ultimately become feeder clubs if this sort of arrangement was allowed to continue.

Same argument can be made about dual reg since the RFL moved the goalposts

That is an argument to support the action the RFL have taken. Think it through and it's an argument against dual reg and loans, which, the RFL are happy with.

The game as a whole need to think seriously about the development of young players not ready for Super League first team action. Is it time to re-introduce reserve teams and scrap dual reg?

It's frustrating when you consider the youth development at clubs like Leeds, Wigan, Saints and Warrington. The league is full of ex academy players from these clubs and they continue to churn them out. Whilst a rule does seem to have been broken, something needs to be done to encourage the development of youth players and provide a path for them into first team rugby. There just seems too much of a jump at the moment. But does anyone trust the RFL to actually look to the future of our game?
