Poetic Justice : Sat May 16, 2015 11:13 am
At the end of the Wigan game last night when Farrell clashed heads with Micky Mac after the high shot, I went to the pub with a huge smile on my face thinking what a good nights TV I had enjoyed.

Not quite sure what sort of person finds comedy in an accidental but pretty sickening clash of heads, but hey.

A very sickening incident, and just shows the Rugby Gods work in mysterious ways!

Hope Farrell's ok. It goes to show that players need to be more controlled in their actions.

In what way does Liam Farrell "play like a scumbag"?

If you wanted to level that accusation at anyone of the two then maybe McIlorum, but I wouldn't consider Farrell to be a dirty player.

It's fair to say Farrell isn't the dirtiest player in the Wigan pack - they set quite a high bar with the likes of Crosby, McIlorum and Bateman as competition but I think it'd be difficult to get a game from Wane without being a bit edgey.

Of course they're all comparitive pussycats to the psychos of the past.

Brian McDermott paraphrased Peter Fox.
"He'd say if we had 13 Bernard Dwyers we wouldn't lose many RL games. It's the same for us with JJB"

Re: Poetic Justice : Tue May 19, 2015 6:34 pm
not sure where this one is going?
is it pay back for what phil clarke said about danny mcguire regarding the rugby gods?

i would personally not ever wish for any injury to any player, but i fully understand why some people believe that "what goes around, comes around" and if they dish it out then they must surely expect some back however i wouldn't class farrell as deserving any injury upon him whatsoever as he is a choir boy in relation to a wigan pack containing mental mickey, flower, crosby and bateman

i actually think that farrell's game deteriorated whilst he looked to be under instruction to cause some mayhem earlier this season and get involved in the niggle as he clearly isn't that type of player and when he cuts out that niggle and concentrates on running those lines out wide that he is very good and is very hard to defend against

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Kevin Sinfield

Re: Poetic Justice : Tue May 19, 2015 9:30 pm
Farrell has always struck me as a slightly less talented, ginger JJB.

Because Clarke and a few Wiganers enjoyed McGuire's injury the other year doesn't mean we need to stoop to their levels. Taking pleasure in a player's injury is a coontish trick. Because Phil Clarke does that, doesn't justify anyone else doing so.
