I agree with you on the above, no one can blame moon for leaving at that point in time we didnt know we'd even have a team the next season. but why the bs about being home sick? That's what leaves the bad taste. Fwiw I really rate moon and was gutted he left, cracking player wish he was still with us.

To be fair that did impinge dangerously close to my dignity and honour clause. But benefit of the doubt and all that

Ha ha fair enough to be fair as I say he's a great player. I don't dislike the guy and can't blame him for wanting to leave the sinking ship at that time

Strictly speaking the last decade starts in 2006, technically ruling out signings made in 2005, 2004 (Lauitiiti & Bai) and earlier (the Murray era).

Brent Webb gets my vote - a very special player before his serious back injury on the eve of the 2008 GF. Some memorable tries and performances in WCC games.

Leuluai was a very good value buy, but he'd be behind Buderus (in the end) in my reckoning.

Scott Donald is another contender, strictly behind Leuluai, maybe ahead of Toopi.

Moon, Aiton, Delaney, Cuthbertson and even Achurch could cement places, but this hasn't happened yet for me.

Toopi! I forgot he came, well he kind of didn't mostly. He should have been a great fit for us at the time. Never cut it though.

As a Newcastle Knights fan, I can say we were all very sad to see Wayne Bennett let Cuthbo go.
Wayne hated the offloads and wasn't a huge fan of Cuthbo, but he would suit our current coach and style down to the ground.
He always had massive stats for us, but because Wayne didn't like his style he was often benched and even dropped to reserve grade.
In short, you pretty much got a bargain because Wayne Bennett only likes robot props who don't offload on penalty of death.

Yeah he's a cracking player and he's style really suits both Leeds and English RL. A bit of a throw back prop.

Toopi was a good player but suffered from injuries and we never saw the best on him, but he was a class player in his prime.

I don't remember him being injured that much but I guess most players play with injuries. Agree he was quality just didn't ever get going for us.

Talking of playing when injured. TC was total quality for me. Talk about earning your money he left it all out on the pitch every week.
