Refs need help, they can"t watch everything so having three high quality officials is critical. Watched a Super rugby game this morning and they had two international refs running the line. I'm not saying Union has higher riffing standards (some of it is awful), but there may be something to learn. You also see the TMO now can judge on forward passes. They keep it simple and look for the direction the ball comes out of the hands and I think it works.

i really dislike the TMO and how it works in union, we have moved more towards it and it is awful. Especially the regards to forward passes.
I think the ref giving try/no try before the VR is a nonsense aswell.
Im a big fan of the VR in principle, I just think we are making such a clusterfsk of it that im coming round to idea of just scrapping it.
