Are they really that bad in the context of what the other teams have? What the last 2 games have shown in the WCS is just how ordinary the Wigan and Warrington halves are, and I don't see how even the most pessimistic Leeds fan (and I know there're many on here) would want to swap any of the half back options for either of the Warrington and Wigan halves

Whilst I agree we have the better half backs (based on the last two night's viewing), our game plan can sometimes mean that it makes no difference how good they are.

Tut, tut. No criticism of Wigan's playing personal is allowed on this board. Every youngster they produce is the dogs go-betweens.

Also no criticism of the Messiah Tony Smith. Even though Chris Bridge looked better as a halfback last year than Myler did according to the Wire board, he used the former off the bench for only the last 15 mins last night (and not in the HB's) whilst Myler stank out the place.

TBF ours have played 2 games together whereas yours have played together for several years?

One thing is for sure neither of our half backs would have been able to keep up with Burgess for the last Wigan try. Neither of our half backs would have been capable of putting in the tackling stint Williams did either

Wigan lost by two and Warrington six hardly drubbings. Wigan's defence last night was pretty good - i doubt Leeds would have been able to keep Brisbane to such a low score.

Its a long season let's see how we go against the better sides in the league. Next two home games are Huddersfield and Wigan that should give a better indication of where Leeds are.

Bridge is just coming back from injury which is why he only came on for the last 15 minutes.
The most disappointing Wigan player last night had to be Matty Smith.
As the current England no 7 he showed why we struggled internationally last year.

I thought O'Brien looked very lively despite all the late & high shots he had to take.
I worry about his longevity though if he has to suffer that in every game.

See I told people you couldn't criticise Wigan on here......gets to the point someone will even say Sinfield wouldn't be capable of putting in a big tackling stint even though he's comfortably made the most tackles for a HB in the last few seasons and was England's leading tackler in the 2013 WC.
