Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

He should have made that announcement several seasons ago after Noble and then Smith had both dropped him from international duties. They can't both be wrong.

When did Noble or Smith drop him from international duty?

They may not have selected him in certain squads but both, after those omissions, went on to subsequently select him.

Noble didn't select him at all in 2004 for the Tri Nations or the 2006 Tri Nations. Last appearance under Noble was in Nov 2005. Smith dropped him during the World Cup in 2008 by not selecting him for the important Semi Final after his abject performance a week earlier in Newcastle against the same opposition.

Noble punted him in 2005 and he never played again until Smith took over. Smith may well have selected him after dropping him from the team for the most important fixture of all in the World Cup. But then again, Smith also selected crap like Calderwood, Gardner and Lee Smith. Worst national coach ever IMO.

If Sinfield is selected next season to play stand off in the World Cup, they may as well throw in the towel now. McNamara will probably hand him the skippers role as well - gawd help us! He needs to retire from internationals - he's never had the ability at that level and he never will.

Recovery from brain surgery is a slow process but reports suggest he's now made a full recovery.

Surely as this current name is a shortening of the first name and not an anagram then it should be Richard Head.

Congratulations on managing to construct a sentence not containing 'could of' or 'should of'.
