I'm happy to highlight why when talking about player performances I form opinions based on what I see rather than what some 3rd party tells me. In addition to his metres and his average per carry Achurch according to Opta also made 34 tackles, 4 tackle busts and 2 clean breaks on Saturday - yet you'll be hard pressed to find any sorrow on here that he'll be history after this season.
Yes Craig I understand where some of those Achurch metres were made just as I am aware when Garbutt made many cheap metres at salford this season (on a rare occasion when Leeds attempted to build some pressure) through goal-line drop-out kick returns just as Peacock often did in years gone by. Unfortunately those all still end up in the totals just as the hard graft ones up the middle do, just as Golding racked up 17 tackles recently by placing hands on as 3rd man in practically complete tackles yet they show the same value as a Hardaker one and one miracle try saver over the line - not that theres been many of them this year but you take the point.
