I thought JJB was pretty good when fit earlier in the year and that is all we really have to go off on whether he can cut it anymore.Its a shame he seems to have gone back to his 'crock' status in recent times but i would like us to keep him on a yearly rolling deal while his performances when on the field are still of a high quality, which i would say they are right now.He is still a player you would like to have in a big game if available, and those are already dwindling by 3 at the end of the year lest we forget.

A fit JJB will make the 17 if not the starting line up. He is still our best player at leading our line and kick chases, is capable of big tackle counts and long minutes and doesn't take a backward step for anybody.o

JJB when fit offers something different and better to our pack. Speed in defence and attack and offers some good niggle.

but that 'when fit' isn't often of late. He has a battle worn body and has rode some many injuries over the years, especially in his early years.

It would be good to have JJB in and around the first team next year especially with Sinfield and Peacock leaving

The club can't let too many go at once if the want the culture that's been built up since the turn of the century to continue

Hardaker
Watkins
Hall
McGuire
Burrow
Ablett
Delaney

at the club - all at least 2 x SL Champions, World Club Champions & Challenge Cup Winners

I wrote JJB off as injury prone about 15 years ago, so I'm not going back there again. Regardless of who's left from the glory days, the loss of Sinfield and Peacock alone is massive in terms of the culture of the team. Having JJB around for another year is by no means a poor decision, even if he does only play half the games.

When fit he is worth a place for the many reasons listed above. We have enough back rowers to compensate ATM for his time off. More worried if we get an injury to McGuire next year. Alot depends on how Sutcliffe returns from injury as I don't fancy having Burrow as an 80 minute option
