Tigers Win Tight Tussle to go Second Top of the table Hull FC were the hosts as Daryl Powell's unbeaten Castleford Tigers rolled into town looking to topple the Airlie Birds from their lofty perch. A win for the home side would likely keep them top of the pile over the weekend, but if the visitors could take the two points it would lift them above their hosts, into second spot behind the winners of tonight's other game, Wigan Warriors v. Salford Red Devils. Hull were unchanged after their away in the south of France at Catalans Dragons, but the Tigers lost Joel Monaghan just before kick-off, being replaced with Jy Hitchcox the close season signing from Featherstone Rovers, as their only change after the big win over Wakefield the last time out.
