You've pretty much summed it up mate. The Championship half back happens to be a very good player - excellent at organising the team too. The team are working for each other, and Craig Huby said himself it's the closest knit team he has played in.

Players who want to work for each other and their coach - that's it. There's a coherency in the team that we haven't seen for years.

Players are finally reaching their potential, they are enjoying playing for the club, our forwards are building a great platform, our backs and making great breaks......oh...and Marc Sneyd.

As well as bringing Powell in as head coach (best signing in years IMO) a lot of credit also has to go to Ryan Sheridan as defensive coach who DP brought in from his old club Fev Rovers.
We also decided to go with a larger squad than usual which as come from the sale of Rangi Chase - at times like the easter program this as been utilised superbly by our coaching team. 2014 is looking like it could be a special year for the Tigers.
