It'll be interesting how Toronto pan out in 2019. I got the impression their players got "home sick" and even Rowley admitted he was glad they were "coming home" (ie ……… back this THIS country!) saying some of the players missed the family, etc. And they did seem to drop off near the end - very unconvincing in the Qualifiers, scrapping wins against Leeds and Toulouse, and struggled against Widnes and Fax. I bet some of their players jump ship or won't re-sign.

Climate's obviously an issue to their fixture pattern. I can see why they can't play at home in February and maybe most of March but can they not play in April ?

Either way, the new fixture pattern will help. Allowing for a couple of cup ties in the early season, the half way point should be nearer the end of May than the end of April.

Bloody Heck. If a team joins the English league it's their choice. Play to English rules or bugger off!

Griff, using that analogy you had better hope Belgrade don't get a home draw in the early rounds of the Challenge Cup, it can get a tad chilly there in the winter months.
Or have they agreed to play the cup games in England?

Belgrade would play any cup ties in England...unless they draw Toronto in which case the game would be in Timbuktu or if drawn against Toulouse they would have a bye as the French club can't be bothered. I hope that clears it up for you.

How did the Ruskies go on ? I've never been myself but I understand the technical term amongst meteorologists is "nippy".

We either want these foreign teams in or we don't. Argyle is on about "growing the size of the pie" in the trade press this week. Which is great - so long as the pie does get bigger. However, much of the talk in recent weeks has been a concern that the pie may get smaller.

Ah- com-on half of the SL teams don't play to the English rules, Eg. Championship.
