So is he still with us or not?

We've had the rumours but nothing announced by the club.

I'd expect you'd hear something this week.

Speaking in a purely personal capacity Tony, and using your thread to put a relevant point across, I think It's unrealistic of people to expect the Club to make announcements about anything until things are definite, paperwork signed etc. etc. as it would look pretty stupid if events took a turn. Look at the Ye Olde Oak premature announcement for instance, and the Dane Manning furore. Although nothing was actually signed and the Club was desperately trying to negotiate with Dane they couldn't stop Batley making an announcement even though it could easily have blown up in their faces.

Batley knew an early announcement would increase the pressure on Dane and it seemed to work.

Contrary to what some users of this forum seem to think, I'd say the Club is far more open about its affairs than most, and board members and coaching staff are regular attendees at Trust meetings where they are open to questions.

The club have made a clear statement https://www.halifaxrlfc.co.uk/article/48914/.

The was no "furore" over Dane, the club aimed to break their agreement with him and he was fortunate enough to be able to find another employer. Other players saw things differently. As others have said it's a short part time career and clubs are happy enough to jettison players at the end of contracts - or even during them "by agreement"

I'm sure you've had times when you've changed jobs because of a poor relationship with your employers or left before they get rid of you, I certainly have.

No-one is questioning that he signed, just want to know now if he's given backword. Can't see the transport issue being true,if you're Lancs based it's easier to get to Fax than Dews, unless it's a licence issue.

If it does indeed come to pass that we go down this road again, Fax will have lost one long time supporter. I have no interest whatsoever in watching other clubs players turning out for my club.
