What a different Oldham team to what we saw Good Friday. With all teams now improving no game is easy and that was the case last night. Our defence was good but lacked a bit in attack where I am sure if we had got a couple more tries Oldham would not have kept going. I never like to discuss the referee but as Adam Tangata who was interviewed in the Shay Lounge said the players were wary of the referees decisions. Adam got the Shay Lounge MOM and the 3 points which now puts him in the lead on 10 points with Gareth Moore. 2nd was Matt Sarsfield with 2 points and 3rd and 1 point to the always reliable Dane Manning which puts him 3rd on 9 points.
The Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Ass went to Jacob Fairbank. In Club 1873 the £25 voucher went to number 129, Leo Edwards and the £20 voucher number 53 David Whiteley who actually won on his bonus number of 2 for 1 from the end of season draw. Half time draw sponsored by Cinnamon at the Mill winning number for £143 was number 1062 Next week sees the Summer Bash at Blackpool and out game against Featherstone on Sunday 29th May 5.15pm. The first coach leaves at 10.00 from the Shay to get you there for all the 3 games starting at 12.35. The second coach leaves at 2.15pm. Adult fare £12, juniors £6. A few places are still left.
