We shall one day be back where we belong and along shall come the Bulls defectors.

Just a thought but with times being hard for many families, and in light of this additional windfall, perhaps the club could couple up the drive for a wider, larger (returning) fan base with an offer for even further reduced season tickets? Bradford City did it once or twice...

All about percentages I feel and getting people back is key. True the kiddies tickets are superb but perhaps go a step further as fans are the lifeblood and key to our SL aspirations I feel.

This may sound a little selfish after such great success but money is money and when it comes to "can I afford 50-60 quid today to take the family down, or shall I watch it on Sky AGAIN".

Just a thought....

Bradford City sold about 17000 at £149 .... A massive price reduction on previous year and a big gamble.

Take Bulls as an example and it's something to avoid.

Fax have had a good season but there's no reason to believe that the drop in income could be recovered unless you can convert the walk up fans and get some more.

Can Fax deliver an even better season next year and can you make people believe that. You can't play ( and beat) Bulls and Leigh every week.

Bradford City offer a Flexible ticket .....buy that and get reduced admission for as many matches as you want.

I bought the 4 game £60 flexible ticket this last season and thought it was a good idea.Would purchase it again next year.Never
understood why you could only buy one per season ?? maybe re-adress this in 2016.

its a very fine line and the problem can be that you reduce season tickets and for the most part it will still be a lot of the hardcore that buy them at the cheaper prices which could cost the club money. I would say its very unlikely that someone who only came to a couple of games or so this season will purchase a season ticket anyway so the trick is to get them to turn up for more games. Get things right on and off the field and crowds will increase and so far the club are doing a great job of that.

That extra money should prove so important and like RM says it gives him a bigger budget for different things they wouldnt have normally add and a knock on effect is that things like advertising budgets may be slightly increased again increasing the presence of the club in the town and hopefully increasing the number of people through the turnstiles.

The club need to use this extra money wisely not just on team building but to improve marketing which for me is still average and get out to the wider public of the whole of Calderdale, don't wait for them to come to you they need to get out to them, we now have a terrific product to 'sell' and most people know Bradford Bulls and beating them is a big selling point and keep doing it not just a quick fix make things long term like DVDs and Fax TV on subscription.
Take a look at what the Bradford do, I accept they are still a big club but we can learn from them.

Re: Incentive : Mon Sep 28, 2015 10:37 pm
There's the early bird offer on season tickets on at the moment. Not the give-away that other clubs have tried, but a saving nevertheless for loyal supporters. Reducing the price now would seriously hack off those that had already bought a season ticket - myself included, not least because I've bought one continuously for the last 30 years.

Other incentives, such as flexible multi-tickets, bring a partner/friend tickets and family tickets could/should all be tried. Equally, I've already suggested that a small discount on pre-bought tickets could be offset (maybe) by an equally small (£1) increase in game-day turnstile prices.

Other than that, perhaps some free raffles for "money can't buy" prizes that cost next to nowt for the club - dining package, signed matchday programme (by all the players), golf day with a couple of players (there must be local clubs willing to offer that just for the publicity), tour of the ground with RM and/or players with refreshments to follow. The list is probably endless, and I know they'd need to have raffle tickets on entry at the turnstiles, but if marketed well enough and repeated every game then there'd be more of an incentive to be there at each game.

Btw, just watched the 2nd half of the Bradford game again. Regardless who we play each week, if we can turn that sort of entertainment on regularly, then numbers on the terraces will surely grow regardless!

Bradford had a 4 games for £66 offer for the Middle 8s which I felt was a good idea.
