Thankfully that is the last time we will play on that terrible pitch - I hope the proposed drainage works will improve things while I know its not the full blown drainage scheme the pitch needs it will help surely? Having the pitch reseeded will at least make for a good surface until the winter.
Hopefully they won't leave lines of sand where the new drainage pipe has gone like last year as that caused part of the problem!

Well the drainage has been getting sorted for going on two seasons now. Last season sandal bmw paid for the long drains going in. That was the first stage completed. The 2nd stage is to place pipes horizontally and add sprinklers. Along with that fibresand is being sown into the new grass( a pitch will be similar to rochdales). This 2nd stage has been funded by the council, football club and grants that the football club/council have been able to obtain. The reason for the marks/lines from the drainage pipes is that due to two sports being played their is only 4-6 weeks of bedding in time instead of an optimum 8-12 weeks.

Sounds good and hopefully this will make a big difference for both clubs. I disagree the lines on the pitch last season was down to too much sand!
How do you know about the funding by the way have you got evidence?
