Exactly correct, my understanding, I may be wrong, I often am is that if we had finished 2nd a new three year contract would have been offered.
Some might say that it would have been deserved, some might not.

I think that's harsh, and I am sure the Wakefield supporters will feel the same.
Your criticism could be labelled on many clubs.
Cas, Bulls, London, Us, Leigh, etc etc, it's a tough world is Rugby League and all clubs (in my humble opinion) deserve every respect for trying to keep afloat.
